Tom Sturgeon is an 18-year-old from Kent finishing his A-levels at Cranbrook Grammar School. He is looking for a degree apprenticeship where analytical rigour actually matters — investment banking, strategy consulting or investment management.

Economics is where he has pushed furthest. His entry to the International Economics Olympiad — a complete investment and policy case for a green hydrogen development zone in Teesside — earned him a place representing the United Kingdom. It wasn't a school essay: it modelled a £6.87bn support envelope, a £4.56bn NPV, a risk register and a staged delivery roadmap, and it flagged its own assumptions for validation.

Outside the classroom he leads. As Head Boy he represents his school publicly; in the Alps he organised and led an expedition; and at home he has volunteered for years with the Scouts and with Aspens, supporting disabled people in his community.

Leadership and service

Head Boy

A degree apprenticeship at an organisation where he'll be stretched: investment banking, strategy consulting, or a specialist investment manager. He brings evidence of analysis, leadership and reliability — and wants to earn the rest.
